Skechers

You should never wear them. They are probably the most hideous shoes known to man. It seems like they take style elements that looked good from other shoe companies and projectile vomitted them onto a shoe. I got the picture from the "what's hot" category of their website. Um, these aren't hot. I feel a lot less hip just having downloaded this picture onto my desktop. When I think of who might possibly buy these shoes, I imagine some middle America lame soccer moms wearing these dressed up SAS shoes to watch their lame kids do something unimportant, thinking they are hot shit and "cool".
Bottom line: if you don't have the money to buy some kickass pumas or something worthy of your money, then just save up. I personally have never bought a pair of skechers and I never plan on it. Do you think that you should buy from a company that can't even spell their name right?

Darcy, I have a confession to make. I own a pair of Sketchers

We are off to a bad start here. Darcy, I second your rant. I particularly hate skechers because when they first came out they were taking up valuable shelf space next to real running shoes and left fewer options for actual running shoes.
WB, the skechers you own aren't bad. In fact I like them. I think Darcy was just referring to the horror of their sneakers. Though I don't feel great about you giving dollars to skechers, you're the one who has to live with the knowledge that your shoes may have been manufactured by the same equipment that processed that momerific beauty pictured above.

Why is this a bad start? we have started an open discussion. It's true, whit's skechers aren't horrible, but they are knock offs. I also appreciate that he saved money, but I don't respect his choice. We are in agreement against whitney.

Look, it's not like I'm proud of the fact that I own Sketchers. I'm embarrassed. But I felt like I needed to make it known, in the interest of full disclosure.

Skechers kick ass.... But then again, they're the closest thing to Euro-sneakers I've been able to find consistently in the US. Y'all suck.

I would always prefer Skechers for my favorite shoes.
